#2 Albuquerque, New Mexico

Wed 27th. (New pics have been added)
After 5 hours more driving thru dessert, (there is almost nothing to see up here), we arrived at 7pm MST (8pm in Dallas).  Dropped off Romeo at his dog boarding for the night and checked into our hotel. He was exhausted as you can see from the picture.  New Mexico's landscape and decor reminds Aimy of the Flintstones with lots of rocks of different colors and clay looking houses.  Even the posts that hold the highway signs looks like tusks.  Albuquerque's minor league baseball team is the Isotopes like in "Springfield". (says Andy)
We also noticed the hot air balloons that they are known for.
We were planing to have dinner at Sadies of New Mexico known for it's biggest "sopapilla" in the world but its late and we are tired.
Tomorrow, we have at least 12 hours of driving ahead of us and hopefully a couple of hours at the Grand Canon.
Check in with us tomorrow afternoon.
